STEAM- Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math. Schools are emphasizing STEM or STEAM programs that focus on, not just these subjects, but on getting students actively working, designing, experimenting, and researching. Students create their own personal STEAM stories through their experiences. We learn a lot from each other through our stories. Stories are powerful.
Recently a friend mentioned that she gets excited when she sees that I have posted something on social media because in her words “I know it will be a cool science thing”. Her words encouraged me to start this blog. Stories about science research, new technology, and those that work in these fields can be powerful too. This blog will share STEAM stories that I find interesting with the hope that others will find them interesting too. This might be links to stories about recent discoveries or innovations, a summary of a research study, or an interview with someone working in these fields. I will also be reviewing children’s STEAM books each week and will include adult STEAM related books from time to time. I hope you will find stories here that interest you and maybe you can share your STEAM story too.
